Legend has it that President Nixon founded the Human-Dog Laboratory in November of 1973 to study the effects of breeding dogs with humans. I visited the lab once in 1982 as part of my thesis for the Cottage Cheese Department at the Duke University Law School. That was the night Chris was conceived. Chris, I’m sorry.
