I was just saying tonight that more non-asshole people should wear bowties, to tilt the scale a little bit. As of now, the only person I know who wears one is a complete dick, and all the people I don’t know who wear them seem to be complete dicks too, i.e. Tucker Carlson.

Jesus Christ died for Tucker Carlson’s sins, according to legend.

com-puter [00:38] IMbullemhead: so many emails [00:38] IMbullemhead: met with biz advisor [00:38] rrronalddd: martinis [00:38] IMbullemhead: iced teas and french fries [00:39] rrronalddd: keep it light [00:39] IMbullemhead: he was initially confused, as most people are when we discuss the pan [00:39] IMbullemhead: but helped me [00:39] rrronalddd: then began to cry [00:39] IMbullemhead: consolidate the idea [00:39] IMbullemhead: well [00:39] rrronalddd: simplify and consolidate [00:40] IMbullemhead: we spieled (speeled?) about what we want to do for half an hour [00:40] IMbullemhead: he told us we needed to narrow our focus down to immediate money-making ideas [00:40] rrronalddd: well yep [00:40] IMbullemhead: said that instead of trying to build an audience, we should focus on finding audiences that already exist [00:41] IMbullemhead: had a good idea, in-game TV [00:41] IMbullemhead: like second-life [00:41] IMbullemhead: we could be the 2nd life TV channel [00:41] IMbullemhead: I’m weirded out by those people, but there’s a functioning economy there [00:41] IMbullemhead: it’s insana [00:41] IMbullemhead: insane [00:41] rrronalddd: ask eric rice [00:41] IMbullemhead: exactly [00:42] IMbullemhead: we have some contacts [00:42] rrronalddd: that shouldn’t be our only thing [00:42] rrronalddd: just add it [00:42] IMbullemhead: I know [00:42] IMbullemhead: but fits into the idea of “finding” audiences instead of building from ground up [00:42] rrronalddd: yeah [00:42] IMbullemhead: we all just want to make content [00:43] IMbullemhead: that’s our goal [00:43] IMbullemhead: one of the ways to do that could be to make commercial content [00:43] IMbullemhead: make ads [00:43] rrronalddd: yeah I know [00:43] IMbullemhead: it’s dirty [00:43] IMbullemhead: feels dirty [00:43] IMbullemhead: but I’ve been dirty [00:44] rrronalddd: I do it already [00:44] IMbullemhead: I know [00:44] rrronalddd: that works for you in NY area [00:44] IMbullemhead: and we can do it soooo much better than anything we see nowadays [00:44] IMbullemhead: and I have contacts in the industry [00:44] IMbullemhead: we can pitch things [00:44] IMbullemhead: easily [00:45] IMbullemhead: we need to make some examples [00:45] IMbullemhead: I’m going to make an ad for hair [00:45] IMbullemhead: the stuff that grows on your body [00:45] IMbullemhead: for example [00:45] IMbullemhead: Melissa’s going to make one for Goldfish snack crackers [00:46] IMbullemhead: we’ll take them, make them into a nice package, show them to the “alternative media” divisions of some of the ad agencies here in nyc [00:46] IMbullemhead: see what happens [00:46] IMbullemhead: it’s our best bet right now (edit) [00:50] IMbullemhead: I will be concentrating fully on these two things [00:50] IMbullemhead: until my money runs out [00:50] IMbullemhead: which it will soon [00:50] rrronalddd: yeah I knoq [00:50] rrronalddd: I understand [00:50] rrronalddd: I appreciate all the work [00:51] IMbullemhead: oh fuck that, you’re doing more work than I [00:51] IMbullemhead: we’re all working [00:51] rrronalddd: erik and I and meiser were talking about the PAN today [00:51] rrronalddd: well meiser talked we listened [00:51] rrronalddd: he’s very excited about the PAN, actually probably more than any of us [00:52] IMbullemhead: he has [00:52] IMbullemhead: yes [00:52] IMbullemhead: great expectations [00:52] rrronalddd: yeah [00:52] rrronalddd: he also lives in a farm house and is insane [00:52] rrronalddd: but still [00:52] rrronalddd: he’s got big, complicated plans for the PAN and mefeedia [00:52] rrronalddd: etc [00:52] rrronalddd: at least he’s excited [00:52] IMbullemhead: I exchanged a 50-email thread with him and some others on the blip-tv user group [00:52] IMbullemhead: yeah [00:52] rrronalddd: he spoke of that [00:53] IMbullemhead: he’s way into the backend crazy possibilities and end-user stuff [00:53] IMbullemhead: we’ll hire him [00:53] IMbullemhead: as soon as money comes in [00:53] rrronalddd: yeah if we could harness and direct him [00:53] IMbullemhead: but like I said, the focus now has to be very specific [00:53] IMbullemhead: content [00:54] IMbullemhead: it’s what we do best [00:54] IMbullemhead: biggest asset is the team, our combined and separate talents [00:54] rrronalddd: focus on one daily show [00:54] rrronalddd: and nothing more [00:54] rrronalddd: eliminate everything else [00:54] rrronalddd: make the blog private, and the only place outside of chats where we post discussion [00:55] IMbullemhead: I’ll do that as soon as we hang this chat up [00:55] IMbullemhead: make it password protected [00:55] IMbullemhead: post everything anything [00:55] rrronalddd: make the flash chat for every thursday [00:55] rrronalddd: and just keep it coming out [00:56] rrronalddd: erik got the logo on the vloggercon stuff [00:56] rrronalddd: or at least they promise [00:56] IMbullemhead: ok, great [00:56] IMbullemhead: melissa started on the curtain postcard [00:56] IMbullemhead: done by tomorrow [00:56] rrronalddd: we need to come up with simple text explanation for back [00:56] rrronalddd: on how to subscribe in itunes [00:56] rrronalddd: etc [00:57] rrronalddd: and the contributors [00:57] rrronalddd: a how to [00:57] rrronalddd: like three steps [00:57] rrronalddd: itunes music store search “thepan” [00:57] rrronalddd: click subscribe [00:57] IMbullemhead: well, we don’t want to overload them on a postcard [00:57] IMbullemhead: yeah [00:57] rrronalddd: thats it [00:57] IMbullemhead: iTunes subscription info, the URL, and a tagline [00:58] IMbullemhead: if we list all contributors and their URLs it may get clouded [00:58] rrronalddd: yeah [00:58] rrronalddd: the main URL is on the front [00:58] IMbullemhead: yeah for vloggercon, the contributors list would probably be a good idea I guess [00:59] rrronalddd: well just see how it looks in the mock up [00:59] IMbullemhead: those people know us [00:59] IMbullemhead: right [00:59] IMbullemhead: you got the messages? [01:00] rrronalddd: yeah [01:00] rrronalddd: they’ll go up this weekend [01:00] rrronalddd: saving all those now for the weekends [01:00] IMbullemhead: this guy tonight introduced himself as an artist [01:00] IMbullemhead: well didn’t introduce himself [01:01] IMbullemhead: he asked Melissa what she did, she said “this”, asked him what he did, he said “I’m an artist” [01:01] IMbullemhead: I found that comforting and pretentious at the same time [01:01] rrronalddd: thenhe attacked [...]
